Detailed Description
Lemonwood is similar in strength, toughness and resilience to hickory. It does not split easily and is not resistant to decay, but holds its place well when manufactured and takes a high, glossy polish.
It is popular in making tool handles, various articles of turnery and frames of buildings. Practically all of the timber exported comes from Cuba and in this country its principal use is in the manufacture of bows by the archery trade.
