Burls and Crotches are sold by the square foot. Allow 50% waste for matching and use poplar crossbanding underlay for stability. Note: Use our PressBond or plastic resin glues when working with any burls, crotches, or other highly figured raw veneers. DO NOT USE CONTACT CEMENT FOR THESE TYPES OF VENEERS.

Calculating square footage: Square footage can be calculated with the following formula:
Sq. ft. = Length (in inches) x width (in inches) divided by 144.
Example: A piece of veneer that measures 6" wide and 4 feet long would be calculated as follows: 6 x 48 =288 divided by 144 = 2. This board measures a total of 2 square feet.
